Trio is a secure, scalable, and highly affordable cloud storage service that brings backup, archive, and disaster recovery into your existing EVO workflow.
This article is intended for users who have already activated their Trio service. Contact us if you're interested in activating a new Trio service.
Following registration, log in at https://console.sns3.io/login
Follow the prompts to create a new Project.
Create a new Bucket within the Project.
Click Access Keys to create a new access key for use by EVO.
Give the key a unique name and click Next.
Select Full Access (or optionally limit the scope of permissions by selecting Advanced).
Note the newly-created Access Key and Secret Key, which are only displayed one time.
In EVO's web interface, navigate to Slingshot > Settings > Aliases and click the plus sign to create a new alias.
Give the alias a unique name, and select SNS Trio from the Schema dropdown menu*.
Enter the bucket name, access key and secret key, and toggle "Private" off.
Successful registration is confirmed by the addition of a unique Volume ID.
The Trio destination is now available for use in Slingshot Replication and Archive/Restore jobs.
Note: If you intend to use Trio with Slingshot Archive/Restore, we recommend that you create a bucket specifically for this purpose (don’t use the Archive/Restore bucket for anything else).
* If the Trio menu item is not present in your version, select S3 and enter https://gateway.sns3.io for Custom host.
