As of ShareBrowser 6.0.1, the workflow integration plugin is the supported way to work with DaVinci Resolve Studio.
This allows users to tag, comment, search and import files directly to DaVinci Resolve Studio.
Tags and comments will be imported with the media into Resolve.
As of ShareBrowser 7.0, Edit-Ready or preview proxies can automatically be downloaded and attached on import.
This can be configured in the ShareBrowser preferences from the plugin:
For more on installing and using the plugin, see the ShareBrowser Guide.
The following information is ONLY for legacy versions of ShareBrowser which contained a feature called "Export to Resolve":
One of ShareBrowser’s file features is Export to Resolve Studio. This feature, like hosting the DaVinci Resolve database on EVO, requires the Studio version of DaVinci Resolve, and is not available for the free version of Resolve.
If the free version was originally installed on the workstation, and later upgraded to the Studio version, you may need to update the default General Preference setting for External Scripting in order for ShareBrowser's export function to work correctly.
To update this setting open the preferences settings and select General. Now make sure the External Scripting Using setting is set to Local in the pulldown menu.
This should now allow the Export to Resolve Studio option to work properly from ShareBrowser.
