If a replacement disk is provided by SNS and needs to be mounted in an existing drive tray (sled), attention is required to ensure correct placement in the tray.
The connecting end of the disk needs to be flush against the connecting end of the drive tray, rather than mounted in a recessed position away from the edge of the sled.
Here is a disk correctly placed in a drive tray. Note the gap near the front of the tray:

While SSD disks will look different from these example photos, the same concept applies for the connecting end of the disk.
